Netflix announces Enna Vilai for 15 October 2026. It falls in the 12 October 2026–18 October 2026 weekly window. Official Netflix announcement.
The new premiere to follow
The official Netflix post names Enna Vilai and gives 15 October as its digital date. The Mandaadi guide records the separate 8 October 2026 announcement. Netflix announcement, The Times of India.
We do not promise a midnight launch time. A date announcement and a playable film are different checks. On the announced day, search the official app for the exact film and inspect the language options before planning a group viewing.
A recent premiere outside this week
Mandaadi’s announced Netflix date is 8 October 2026, before this week. Official Netflix announcement. The Week also gives that date. Sardar 2 has a reported Prime Video premiere of 1 October 2026. It falls outside the 12 October 2026–18 October 2026 window. Check the Sardar 2 guide for its release details. Outlook India.
Older films are a separate choice
Dragon (டிராகன்) has a Netflix listing. Tourist Family (டூரிஸ்ட் ஃபேமிலி) had a JioHotstar debut in June 2025. Coolie (கூலி) has an official Prime Video page. These are useful catalogue leads, but none is presented as a fresh premiere in this weekly window.
That distinction prevents a long list from looking more current than it is. Readers searching “new Tamil movies on OTT this week” need a release event and date, not a collection of familiar titles whose digital debuts happened last year.
What stays off the confirmed list?
For Meesaya Murukku 2, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai and Jailer 2, follow the linked film guides for release announcements.
An acquisition of digital rights also does not establish the premiere day. A publisher must keep the platform, region, announcement date and actual streaming date separate to answer this search accurately.
A practical weekly check
- Find the film's dated announcement or official title page.
- Match the year and cast to the film you want.
- Check your country, audio and subtitles in the platform app.
- Read “expected” as an estimate and “reported” as an attributed claim.
- Recheck the source close to the day you plan to watch.
This weekly article is a dated snapshot. The OTT section also keeps older guides available, with the original year and premiere label shown on each film.
